Commissioning Programme - 2010-11

These pages provide further detail about the specific commissioning plans for 2010-11.

These plans have been affected by a change in policy by Welsh Assembly Government. WAG have announced that they are no longer intending to transfer Cymorth into the Revenue Support Grants of local authorities, but to create a new fund to support the delivery of their Child Poverty strategy.

At present, the Partnership has not been given detailed information about what the criteria for the new fund will be. This uncertainty means that the Partnership is not able to proceed with its planned procurement programme at the present time.

However, we are still seeking to put into place the full programme that was planned for the current year, using grant arrangements. These Cymorth Development Grants will be awarded for specific pieces of work that have been identified as part of the commissioning process. Some grants will need to go to a specific provider and Core Groups will need to make a business case stating their reasons for this. However, other grants will be advertised and any organisations who consider that they meet the criteria in the Grant Specification and are able to deliver the work are welcome to apply.
